Visiting the Institute

Two options are currently available for visiting the Institute: proposing an event and applying for a short study stay.

Propose an event

If you would like to propose an event at Myrifield, please send to info@myrifield.org a description of your project, a list of participants to be invited, the dates you would like to come, and a brief bio of your eligibility in leading the event, together with your contact information. Projects should be directly related to institute objectives in furthering interdisciplinary collaborative research in cognition and the arts through informal discussions and exchanges. Please also consider arranging for a public lecture arising from your project some time during your stay.

We provide full board and lodging at a per diem rate. We can accommodate up to ten participants at Myrifield and a neighboring house. Myrifield offers a dedicated library of over 600 research materials and journals related to cognitive sciences and the arts, with study and meeting space, WiFi facilities, and equipment for PowerPoint presentations. Because sessions are intense and involve interaction among participants, we ask that people arrive the day before the scheduled event and leave the day after. During the time your event is in session, there will be opportunities for hiking, exploring the surrounding area, visiting cultural institutions within easy reach, as well as quiet time for relaxation, private study, and one-on-one conversations.

Short study stay

The Institute offers an opportunity for individual short stays, up to ten days, for the purposes of private study. If you would like to visit Myrifield, please send to info@myrifield.org details of your proposed study, a brief description of your background, the dates you would like to come, and your contact information. We will do our best to accommodate your request, depending on the scheduling of other activities.
